Statistically it has been proven that hotel guests spend most of the time away from their rooms, leaving the A/C, lights and TV "ON" , disregarding completely that both energy and money are being wasted.

Thousands of dollars are thrown down the drain daily, keeping an empty room cool and the lights ON for no reason. WattSaver automatically turns OFF every energy-consuming item once the guest leaves the room. He may not even be aware that an "Energy Saving System" has been installed to avoid such waste.

Here is how WattSaver model IRPRO works:
An Infrared Sensor and a Magnetic Switch installed at the front door of the room determines if the guest is inside or not. Once the guest opens the door and exits the room the Infrared Sensor scans the room to see if another guest is still inside. If not, the System will turn OFF the lights and then follow the preset program, set by the hotel staff, which may be:

  1. Turn OFF the A/C until the guest returns.
  2. Turn the A/C intermittently ON and OFF accordingly (For example, 5 minutes ON 15 minutes OFF)
  3. Keep the temperature at a preset level by observing the "optional" thermostat.

The System will keep the room at a pleasant temperature and at an acceptable relative humidity" level.

Another important feature is the "Status Indicator", installed outside of the room door which eliminates completely "guest annoyance", since hotel staff may easily determine if the guest is "inside" the room or not.

Wattsaver – Model Micro 2K

When a guest opens the door of their room, all the electricity becomes active automatically, turning ON the air conditioner and the lights, if these were left ON before leaving. Once the guest enters the room, the Motion Sensor (Fig. 1) detects him and informs the Control Unit (Fig. 2) the presence of a guest. The Control Unit becomes latched, that is to say, it registered the presence of the guest and maintains the electricity activated until the door is opened again.

Once the guest leaves the room, the magnetic switch inside the Status Indicator (Fig. 3) tells the Control Unit the door was opened. When this occurs, the Motion Sensor continues seeking the existence of another guest and if no one else is found, the system begins the countdown to turn OFF the air conditioner and lights. This happens from 5 to 15 minutes (times are programmable) after the guest exits the room. During this period, the system still monitors the Motion Sensor and the opening of the door, in order to cancel immediately the countdown and maintains activate the electricity.

Cost Return:
Cost return will depend on local power cost per kwhr. but in any case it will be only a few months.

Installation:
It is very easy and it usually takes about 50 minutes each room. It should be done by the hotel "Engineering Department'. Our company will provide them with instructions, videotape, etc. to assure proper installation.

System Failure:
In the event of a system malfunction, a BY-PASS switch allows to use of the room. One PC board holds all electronics of the System and it can be replaced in only a few minutes.

Warranty:
12 months. (1 complete System will be provided at no extra cost for every 100 units ordered).
